Fireproofing

Some structural parts fabricated for refineries or chemical plants must have a fireproof coating. Seeing as fires can have catastrophic effects, the owners, architects and designers require a fireproof coating system that offers a protection against such fires, all the while maintaining an adequate and visually acceptable appearance.

This type of protection is also used on airport structures, office buildings, hotels, conference centers, plants and hydroelectric power stations to offer a protection against cellulosic fires. This protection is meant to keep the steel below its melting temperature for a longer period of time, allowing the occupants to leave the premises in a timely manner.
